The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

GEDEON Programmes Museology

The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

The villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is one of the most beautiful Renaissance-style buildings on the Côte d’Azur, built on a promontory of the Cap Ferrat peninsula between 1905 and 1912 at the behest of Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild (1864-1934). Today, the building is a museum, managed by the Culturespaces company, for which GEDEON Programmes produced a15-minute archive film Béatrice and the Golden Age of the Riviera, which tells not only the story of the Villa and its owner but also that of the Riviera, the birth of the Côte d’Azur and the Belle Epoque period.
