This film offers an experience of the French occupation through previously unpublished archives: amateur films shot by German soldiers and thousands of letters they sent home to their relatives.
It presents a unique view of this period, using extraordinary images free of propaganda, forcing us to think differently about the Second World War and to understand the men who occupied French territory.
