Pompeii, the VR experience

In the footsteps of archaeologists, come and explore the remains of the House in the Garden of Pompeii. Equipped with a temporal flashlight, search for objects from the past and reveal the ancient Domus as it was in 79 A.D., before the eruption that buried the city.

Created by GEDEON Programmes in partnership with UBISOFT to accompany the Pompeii exhibition at the Grand Palais, this experience offers an incredible journey both geographically and temporally, plunging the visitor first of all into the heart of the current ruins of Pompeii, before taking them back nearly 2000 years.

Offered in the foyer, adjacent to the Salon d’Honneur at the Grand Palais in Paris, the VR experience allowed three simultaneous users to explore the ruins and collectively reconstruct a collection of objects among those that furnished the house. These objects, once found, allow the discovery of the fully reconstructed room, in its original state, and provide access to historical and scientific information.
